CI/CD Factory: build reusable delivery foundations

Pipelines copied between repositories diverge and make delivery controls difficult to maintain.

Build a shared template or framework, validate it on a pilot repository and hand over adoption guidance to the teams.

Services

When to engage?

Controls differ between repositories

Every change is copied manually. The Factory separates shared steps, parameters and application-specific exceptions.

A new service has no reliable pipeline

A pilot repository can validate tests, artifacts, permissions and deployment before a broader rollout.

A release cannot be traced

The template should link the tested artifact, approvals and version actually deployed to the authorized target.

A three-step engagement

  1. 01

    Frame the model

I choose shared steps, controls, variables and exceptions with application and security teams.

  2. 02

    Build the pilot

I version the foundation and integrate the selected repository; I test builds, artifacts and deployment to the authorized target.

  3. 03

    Transfer ownership

I check the service after delivery and document adoption, maintenance and rollback.

What you receive

  • Versioned template or frameworkShared code, parameters, controls and agreed exceptions on the existing tool.
  • Pilot repository pipelineTested integration on the selected repository, with identifiable artifacts and application checks on the authorized target.
  • Standards and adoption guideArtifact and security conventions, exceptions and ownership for onboarding other repositories.

Scope and prerequisites

Scope and prerequisites. Agree the CI/CD platform, pilot repository, runners, registry, test environments and owners of secrets and approvals before construction.

Pilot boundaries. No migration of all repositories or platform replacement. Production promotion requires authorization, tests and rollback; the pilot may stay outside production.
